Levi Ellis | 19 | College Student | Aaron Johnson | OPEN

Life it seems, will fade away, drifting further every day, getting lost within myself. Nothing matters no one else. I have lost the will to live, simply nothing more to give. There is nothing more for me. Need the end to set me free.
Traits:

Humble
Down-to-earth
Uptight
Quiet
Depressed

The Story:

Levi Ellis has always been the boy in the shadows. The boy who you never see in the hallways, or hanging around the cafeteria. He never goes to social events or even is social. Levi is the boy who you didn’t even know went to your school until you were paired up with him in biology. Though Levi Ellis hid in the shadows, he was destined to see the light.
The Ellis family was a happy one many years ago. The house was always filled with love and laughter. It was like they were the picture perfect family, up until Levi’s older brother died.
Oliver Ellis was his brother’s role model. He was popular, intelligent  friendly. All the elements of an Ellis boy. Most of all, he cared about his little brother. Always letting Levi hang out and play video games with him and his friends. Oliver was the best brother anyone could ask for.
It was a hot day in Phoenix. Ten year old Levi was outside playing in the sprinkler like any normal kid. That’s when he saw his mother rush outside, hysterically crying with his father right behind her and opening the car door to drive off. Before Levi could ask what had happened, he was picked up by his uncle who was obviously holding back tears. His uncle brought him back into the house and sat him down on the couch giving him devastating news; Oliver had died in a motorcycle accident.
Levi had never been the same since then. The then cheerful and outgoing boy was transformed. He became more neurotic and paranoid. Levi never liked taking risks because look what it did to his brother? It killed him.
Nowadays, Levi spends his day as an introvert. He doesn’t like to socialize much, or get out there at all. The reason is because he doesn’t want to take the place of Oliver. He has the true personality and likability to make him a popular guy, but he feels as if that was his brother. Oliver was the Golden Boy, and Levi would never forgive himself if he took that from him. That’s why Levi is usually alone.
When Levi got his acceptance letter to West Field, he was excited though he’d never admit it. He’d always wanted to be a writer, and what better place to strengthen his skills than a school for the brilliant?

Personality:

On the outside, Levi is very quiet. He stays in the shadows and isn’t one for making conversation. Until you get to know him that is. When Levi lets you into his life, you find out many things about him. He’s extremely personable and down to earth, and it doesn’t hurt that he is so charming. Once you see this side of him, you know that Levi really thinks of you as a true friend.

Elizabeth Mauls | 17 | Student | Jessica Lowndes | OPEN

Don’t hold back, packing my bags and giving the academy a rain check. I don’t ever want to let you down, I don’t ever want to leave this town. ’Cause after all this city never sleeps at night.
Traits:

Trusting
Motivated
Cheerful
Talkative
Selfish
Jealous

The Story:

Growing up in your elder siblings shadow is never easy, but it was considerably harder when you had a sister like Rosemarie Mauls. Rose’s antics always meant people paid more attention to her sibling around school and their neighbourhood, something that caused Elizabeth to become jealous of Rose no matter what she did. Her sister was never a stereotypical popular girl, unlike Elizabeth. She never saw the point in striving to be noticed, or popular; all Rose wanted to do was have some fun and meet some friends while doing so. Elizabeth never managed to have the same affect on people as Rose did; she was always the wannabe, something her sister wouldn’t deny.
Despite Rose’s popularity at school, her mother always made time for Elizabeth. She knew the girl was the opposite of her sister; Rose never opened up to anybody whereas Liz spent hours a day confiding in her mother about everything from sex to her recent mark on a history quiz she took. Elizabeth found comfort in the fact her mother chastised Rosemarie for her rude remarks at the dinner table rather than laugh at them like the rest of the older kids did at school. Only, she continued to envy Rose’s ability to get out of a bad situation or stay unaffected by her mother’s responses. Never the less, Elizabeth enjoyed the time she became the favourite child. Finally, Liz found a place where she would come out on top rather than Rose.
When Rose vanished for seven months, Liz realised her mother cared for them both equally. Soon, she became tired of her mothers constant phone calls to neighbours wondering if they heard anything new from their daughters disappearance, so she did the one thing she would regret: she tried to become Rose.
Elizabeth knew her sister, despite the fact she was very flirtatious, was still a pure girl. Her plan was simple: attract the one guy Rose had any real feelings for and give him her virginity.
The next day Elizabeth stumbled in her home hungover, tired and impure. What she didn’t plan was her whole family seeing her in such a state.
Her mother, too angry at Rose to take a proper look at her youngest daughter, kept on ranting to who claimed to be Rose and her’s father. Their father was working on calming Janine, their over reactive mother, down, so Elizabeth had no problem avoiding his gaze. It all seemed to be just a small bump in the road, Elizabeth thought, until she laid eyes on her sister. Rose knew; Rose always knew.
The weeks following taught Elizabeth the importance of loyalty, especially with family. Rose ignored her and the calls from the boy that Elizabeth lost her innocence to, choosing to dive into whatever their father provided for her. Elizabeth continued going to school, striving to fill the place in everybody’s hearts that Rose usually filled, but she knew that she wasn’t adequate enough; nobody could replace Rose. She had learnt that now.
Throughout her internal struggle, Rose had treated her the same as she had before the betrayal. “It’s just a boy, Liz,” she had told her, “I broke his nose for taking it from you anyway. You should have saved it for somebody you loved.” For Rose, it seemed, it was in the past. She had forgiven her sister, but Elizabeth still hasn’t forgiven herself. Maybe it’s the fact she knows she regrets the act, or maybe she just wants to hate herself because she can never achieve the perfect she was constantly striving for beforehand.
It was music to the girl’s ears when she found out she had a placement in West Field. This could be a new start for Elizabeth and she plans on making the most of it no matter what.

The Personality:

Elizabeth is quite insecure in comparison to her sister, needing reassurance from her family to feel like she’s worth it. Liz usually hides behind Rose when it comes to fights, whether they’re bitchy or physical; she hates confrontations and the possibility of hurting somebodies feelings. Elizabeth uses her looks and sister’s reputation as her defence when her sister isn’t around, but she hardly ever acts when something or somebody bothers her.
The youngest Mauls is kind, yet quite bitchy when she wants to be. Her jealousy can change her personality dramatically, causing her to do vindictive acts like she has to Rose. Elizabeth is talkative and will tell anybody her problems, allowing her to be quite vulnerable most of the time. She’s scared of the possibility of being alone at West Field, but she’s striving to be independent just like her older sister. Maybe then, she can work out her jealously issues.

Damon Fenn | 19 | College Student | Nathan Stewart-Jarrett | OPEN

I’m bulletproof, nothing to lose, fire away, fire away. Ricochet, you take your aim, fire away, fire away. You shoot me down, but I won’t fall, I am titanium.
Traits:

Sweet
Respectful
Lively
Reckless
Addicted
Kleptomaniac

The Story:

Always cool, calm and collected, Damon Fenn stands out from the rest of his family. His four older brothers were constantly the talk of his busy California school, his peers mesmerised by their outrageous actions. Constantly living in their shadows, Damon taught himself never to stray from the pack; it always got you into trouble.
Guns were all over the Fenn household. Why? His oldest brother was a drug dealer and his mother sold her body if they were short of the monthly rent; they needed some protection. Damon envied his brothers, they could use the weapons as they pleased while all he could do was stare from a safe distance away. In dire need for a taste of adventure, the youngest Fenn loaded up a seemingly harmless hangun and ran to his friends home with a grin stretching from ear to ear.
Nothing happened, but a revelation occurred to the boy.
It wasn’t the gun, Damon found, that gave him the thrill. No, it was the theft. When he returned the gun, an overwhelming feeling of guilt accompanied with a touch of shame flooded his body. He vowed to never steal for the high again.
He was still vowing the same thing two years later while he stared at the ‘A’ written on the corner of his final grades for High School, his mother squealing in pride as finally, one of her sons had succeeded at something. Damon Fenn stole the answers, but he also lost his conscience that day too.
The Fenn household received a letter from West Field Boarding School regarding Damon’s flawless grades. A week later, he was packing for college at the school.

The Personality:

Damon is a ‘nice’ guy. He likes to laugh and joke with his friends, go to the movies and make fun of the latest chick flick advertised and play any sport he can when the mood strikes. It astounded his bothers when they found out he was a virgin, but Damon just didn’t need that thrill. His kleptomania owned him. He would much rather steal a girls purse than rip off her panties, but nobody knew that. Friends would question his sexuality, because, well, “Who doesn’t want to have sex at the age of nineteen?”. Damon knew he wasn’t gay, unless being attracted to the glistening new phone the baseball team’s captain held counted as homosexuality, but he let the comment continue. He wont hurt you, or break your heart, but he’ll sure as hell steal what he can from you.

Rosemarie Mauls | 19 | College Student | Jessica Stroup| TAKEN

How would you cope it the world decided to make you suffer for all that you were? How could you dance if no-one was watching and you couldn’t even care if they were? What would you do if you couldn’t even feel? Not even pitiful pain. How would you deal if the indecisions, eating away at the days?
Don’t you know people write songs about girls like you.
Traits:

Honest
Protective
Energetic
Rude
Impulsive
Reckless

The Story:

With power comes responsibility, but Rosemarie Mauls was never a responsible girl. To this day, her mother still questions where her eldest daughter got her wild streak and insolent behaviour from. The answer was a mystery to Rose, that was until she met her father.
If you looked up “curious” in the dictionary, the definition would be Rosemarie Mauls with an extra note referring you to reckless. This is probably why her mother and younger sister didn’t question it when she packed up a bag and told them she was going to find her Dad once and for all. They laughed, telling her they would see her at lunch. They didn’t.
After six months, Rose finally found her father in Russia. It turned out he was a very successful business man, although his work wasn’t entirely legal. She spent six weeks there with her father, getting involved in work an average sixteen year old shouldn’t even know about and learning things she had only dreamt about before. By the end of her stay, she could seduce a guy and knock him out within thirty seconds, and that is what Rose called productive.
Rosemarie decided to bring her father with her back to Montana as extra luggage her mother was furious. What happened next shocked both Rose and Elizabeth: Janine Mauls was silenced by her ex boyfriend and Rose’s father. Ever since that day, the girl knew dragging her father home to her mother was the right thing to do; they were happier together.
The same couldn’t be said for Elizabeth and Rose’s relationship. Once her sister decided to sleep with her on and off boyfriend, Rosemarie always resented the girl a little. Despite what she told her sister, she could never stop the deep feeling of loathing that coursed through her veins at the sight of the younger sister near her ex-boyfriend. Although he wasn’t good news, Rose had grown to love the boy. Their times smoking joints at the back of the school’s parking lot had made her realise he was just like her; hiding behind a hard exterior that nobody could break through.
It became obvious Rose’s time away may have done her good in terms of real life experience, but it didn’t benefit her academically at all. Deciding it was best to keep the sisters together, her father pulled a few strings (as per usual) and found them a place in a prestigious school based in Phoenix, just over nineteen hours away from their Montana home.
At the prospect of having more independence, for once in her life Rose packed her own bags and jumped in the back of her Dad’s flashy car without question.

The Personality:

Rose is brazenly honest, never shying away from a subject or a question. Despite her reckless streak, she’s fiercely protective and loving when it comes to her family and makes it her priority to always be there for them. Yes, she’s impulsive, but she can get herself out of any bad situation after years of practice. Rose is charming, cocky and a little too proud of herself. It became obvious she’s a lot like her father, but she refuses to admit it as that means she has to admit her stubbornness comes from her mother.
She has a dry sense of humour which matches her sarcasm perfectly. Though she’s fiery and stubborn, she usually has people’s best intentions in mind as she has a good heart. It’s hard to earn her trust; she’s a very personal individual. Rose finds it hard to be openly vulnerable and emotional even with her sister as nobody has ever really been there for her.

Jayden Hawards | 17 | FC: Dan Howell | TAKEN
On the outside, Jayden Howards is the typical boy next door. He’s the guy who would to leave the game of basketball in his driveway just to help his elderly neighbour with her groceries. He’s the boy who shyly kissed you on the cheek in fifth grade when you were playing. And he’s the boy who spent the summer in a mental hospital after threatening his mother with a knife. Looks can be deceiving, as Ryan has proved time and time again. You wouldn’t think, as he flashes that heart-warming smile, that he could possibly have been diagnosed with major depressive disorder. His tendency to alternately fall into fits of despondency or anger is masked by his early Bieber-style haircut and sweetly flirtatious jokes, but if you catch him in one of his moods, you had better run, and run fast.
